As with our Web projects, we base our fee quotation on a projection of time and materials which we calculate after examining your project specifications.
Depending on the project, there may be as many as three components to the fee:
- Layout & Design
- Creation of Artwork
- Interfacing with Third Parties
Let's take each component in turn.
Layout & Design:
This may be obvious, but it bears mentioning: The more detailed and specific your project specifications are, the lower the costs for this component. If you furnish us with specific dimensions, layout sketches, color and font choices, text copy, graphic elements, etc., fewer decisions (and alternate design concepts and revisions) are required on the part of
nSiteful. Accordingly, less time is required, and costs are lower for layout and design.
At the other end of the spectrum, you might furnish us with only a general concept for the artwork.
In this case, we would discuss and negotiate the number of alternate design concepts and revisions you want. Our fee quotation would incorporate the effort dictated by those decisions.
Creation of Artwork:
This component is generally the easiest to price. However, if your project specifications are at the general end of the spectrum, we may have to provide separate fee quotations for a) Layout & Design and b) Creation of Artwork. For example, we might determine at the conclusion of the Layout & Design stage that the artwork will need custom-designed logos, illustrations, original photography, etc. The effort and costs involved in creating those elements will be incorporated into the fee quote.
Interfacing with Third Parties:
nSiteful works with a small number of preferred commercial printers. If we can use one of them to produce your final product from our artwork, the time and costs involved with third parties can be minimized.
That said, we're happy to work with any vendors you choose; and we would build into our fee quotation a cost component to cover the effort required to work with them on logistics.
