Ok. Let me start out by admitting I'm probably
way in the minority on this issue:
I really prefer receiving (and sending) PLAIN-TEXT e-mails (versus HTML or Rich-Text e-mails).
Plain-Text e-mails...
are environmentally friendly (versus bloated with unnecessary characters), so they download more quickly and take up less space on your computer;
are less likely to be erroneously flagged as spam;
are universally-readable in any e-mail software program; and
lend themselves easily to "quoting" when sending replies.
