Why Marketplace?
nSiteful's Marketplace is a test project of nSiteful Web
Builders, Inc. We certainly harbor no illusions
that we will put Google or Yahoo! out of business any time soon.
Marketplace started out as a demonstration
project for a client. To show the client how Marketplace would work, we wanted to use real-life listings.
So — since we are indefatigable marketers of our own clients' businesses — we used some real
clients' businesses for the demo listings.
Then we noticed that the major search engines and directories were listing the Marketplace.
What's more, the Marketplace listings for several of our clients were (and still are) listed
higher in the search engines than their own web sites were!
When we analyzed our site traffic,
we learned that Web surfers were, indeed, visiting our clients' Web sites by way of the Marketplace!
So, being somewhat insighful, we didn't have to do a lot of head-scratching to realize we should go
live with the idea.
What's It Cost?
We're working on that... For now, it's FREE.
Future Plans
We're not sure yet what the future may bring. We might keep Marketplace as a entirely FREE listing
service. We are also considering creating a tiered structure under which some (basic)
listings are free and "premium listings" (with extra features) can be purchased on a subscription basis.
We'll be listening to what you — the Market — tells us, and we'll keep you posted!
