What We Need from You

Like we said here, you are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to furnish nSiteful with a rough detailed sketch of the desired piece — this tends to keep costs down by maximizing the chances that nSiteful will implement your vision without requiring time-consuming and costly revisions. In most cases, a Hybrid Sketch will help us develop a very accurate Fee Quotation.

About the Hybrid Sketch

Here is an example of the Hybrid Approach whereby you send us your text copy in an editable document (e.g., MS Word) and a pencil diagram illustrating placement and size requirements or preferences.

First, the text copy and instructions from Client:

Dear nSiteful,

The attached sketch attempts to show you my ideas for the inside of the tri-fold brochure I'd like a quote on. (Sketch and notes for the OUTSIDE coming soon!)

Notes:

As we discussed, this brochure will target realtors, builders, and property managers. I want them to hire me to do marketing graphics. Some realtors try to save money by marketing collateral using the do-it-yourself model. I want them to realize that spending some money on professional work pays off for them.

This will be a standard 11x8 sheet, folded in thirds with a total of six panels. I'll be direct-mailing some and leaving others at Real Estate offices, etc.

Sections (as circled on sketch):

A) I'd like to have some eye-catching graphic with bold text that grabs the reader right away. The idea would be to force them to realize they've got to spend a little money with a professional if they expect to sell homes at today's prices.

B) Bullet list of benefits (why they should hire me). Examples:

- If you're a realtor, you're more likely to impress potential homeowners if your presentations are high-quality.

- Professionally done property brochures are going to be much more effective than the ones they can create themselves in Microsoft Word (or Publisher or PowerPoint, etc.)

- If you're looking for investors, then you really need to have professional materials.

C) In this center panel, I'm thinking we'd put images of samples of work I've done. I can give you PDFs of print stuff, and you can get screen captures of some of my Web sites.

D) More samples here, like above.

E) My contact info, which you have.
